How do I change the colors in my blend after I’ve made it?

Simply use the Direct Selection Tool (A) to click the original shapes and change their fill color — the blend updates automatically.

How can I edit the individual shapes inside a blend?

Use Object > Blend > Expand to break the blend into editable shapes.

Make sure your path is a single continuous line, and try reversing the path direction if the blend appears flipped.

Gradients are confined to a shape’s fill or stroke. The Blend Tool can create transitions between completely separate objects and along any path.
