Can I convert my hand drawing to a vector?

Yes! Scan your drawing or take a clear photo, place it in Illustrator, and try the Sketched Art preset under Image Trace. Then refine the results by expanding and cleaning up paths.

How do I fix a messy or inaccurate Image Trace?

After expanding, use Object > Path > Simplify, delete unwanted shapes, or manually adjust anchor points using the Direct Selection Tool. You can also manually retrace sections with the Pen Tool if needed.
