What is the difference between a knee shot and a low-angle shot?

A knee shot is taken from knee height and often focuses on movement or objects near the ground, whereas a low-angle shot is positioned below the subject, making them appear more dominant or imposing.

When should I use a knee shot in my film?

Use knee shots when emphasizing movement, creating suspense, or capturing important details at ground level. They are particularly effective in action sequences and Westerns.

What type of lens is best for knee shots?

A wide-angle lens is ideal for capturing environment-heavy knee shots, while a telephoto lens can help isolate the subject for a more focused, dramatic effect.

Can knee shots be used in photography as well?

Absolutely! Knee shots are useful in street photography, action photography, and storytelling compositions that highlight movement or environmental details.
