How much does it cost to outsource wedding video editing?

Costs vary by provider and deliverable type. Highlight edits typically range from 195 to 549 dollars, while documentary or full-length edits range from 520 to 799 dollars. Some companies also offer monthly subscription plans starting around 425 dollars, which can lower per-project costs for studios with steady volume.

What is the typical turnaround time for outsourced wedding edits?

Most reputable wedding editing partners deliver within 10 to 21 days depending on the project scope. Rush options are sometimes available, such as seven-day delivery from Bride&Groom.video. Turnaround can also depend on the subscription tier or editor availability, especially with credit-based models like Uncut Gems.

Should I choose a subscription or pay-per-project model for wedding video editing?

That depends on your workload. Subscription models from companies like Uncut Gems and WedWill work well for studios editing multiple weddings each month, offering lower per-project rates and dedicated editors. Pay-per-project pricing, such as that from Bride&Groom.video or EditWeddings, is better suited for filmmakers with seasonal or occasional outsourcing needs.

What should I look for in a wedding video editing outsourcing partner?

Key factors include turnaround consistency, pricing transparency, communication tools like a client portal, revision policies, and whether the team specializes in wedding content. Access to project files and NLE compatibility (Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve) are also important if you want to make final adjustments in-house.

Can I get project files back from an outsourced wedding editor?

Not all providers offer project file access. Bride&Groom.video and WedWill both provide project files on request, giving filmmakers the flexibility to make further edits. However, companies like CutPro Media only deliver final exports without project files, so it is important to confirm this before committing to a provider.
