Does CapCut watermark 4K exports on the free plan?

Not on standard free exports. CapCut adds branding when a project uses paid Pro features, when the edit is built from a template that carries its own branding, or when the automatic ending outro is left enabled. Disable the ending outro and avoid Pro marked assets, and a free CapCut 4K export is clean. The 4K option itself depends on your device supporting a 4K encode.

Why is my 4K export coming out at 1080p?

The usual causes are a device encoder that does not expose 4K in that app, a frame rate selection that pushed the export past the encoder limit, a project resolution locked by the first 1080p clip you imported, or an export preset that quietly reverted to a social default. Check the project settings first, then drop to 30fps, then confirm your source footage was actually filmed in 4K.

Which free apps export 4K with no watermark at all?

VN, Adobe Premiere on mobile, and DaVinci Resolve for iPad export 4K with no watermark on their free versions. CapCut also produces clean free 4K exports as long as you avoid Pro assets, branded templates, and the ending outro. All four still require a device that supports a 4K encode.

Can I get 4K at 60fps for free, or only 30fps?

VN and InShot both make 4K at 60fps available without a subscription, and CapCut supports it on capable hardware. PowerDirector's free tier typically limits you to 30fps at high resolutions. On weaker devices, selecting 60fps can remove the 4K option entirely, so if 4K disappears from your export menu, try 30fps before assuming the app is at fault.

Does InShot export 4K for free, and how do I avoid the watermark?

Yes, InShot exports up to 3840 x 2160 at up to 60fps without a subscription. The free tier adds the InShot logo and end card, which you can remove for a single project by watching an ad. There is no permanent free removal, so the ad step repeats on every export you want clean.

What is the export limit on DaVinci Resolve for iPad's free version?

The free version's resolution ceiling is 4K UHD at 3840 x 2160, with no watermark. That covers virtually every standard deliverable. Anything above UHD requires the Studio version, and the app expects an M series iPad or an A12Z iPad Pro.

Why does Canva let me pick 4K but my video still looks soft?

Two separate limits are at work. Free Canva accounts can download MP4 up to 1920 x 1080, with 3840 x 2160 reserved for paid plans, and Canva downscales uploaded 4K footage to 1080p regardless of plan. That means a 4K download can still be built from a 1080p master, which is why the result looks softer than the source you uploaded.

How much storage does a 4K export need on a phone?

Plan for roughly 350 to 500 MB per minute of 4K H.264, plus temporary scratch space while the app renders. Keeping several gigabytes free is the single easiest way to avoid a failed render, since low storage is one of the most common causes of an export that stops partway or falls back to a lower resolution.

Is an upscaled 1080p clip exported at 4K still a 4K video?

The file will measure 3840 x 2160 and platforms may treat it as 4K, but no detail has been added. Viewers see softness rather than extra sharpness, and the file is several times larger for no benefit. Shoot 4K in camera whenever the final deliverable is 4K.

Do I need a paid app to export 4K without a watermark on Android?

No. VN exports 4K with no watermark on Android, Adobe Premiere on mobile does the same on Android 13 or later with at least 5GB of RAM, and CapCut produces clean 4K exports on supported hardware. The real Android constraint is usually the device encoder rather than the price of the app.
